How do you manage Tottenham?

Can someone please tell me how to manage Tottenham??? I havnt won anything in many attempts so far. Im currently in April 2011 (so 2nd season)

1st Season Stats -
Premier League - 5th
League Cup - Qtr-Finals (lost to Fulham 4-3 on pens)
FA Cup - 3rd Round (lost to Bristol City 5-4 on pens)

2nd Season Stats -
Premier League - Top half finish expected, Highest probably 7th
League Cup - Semi-Finals (lost to Arsenal 3-0 on agg)
FA Cup - Semi-Finals (lost 3-1 to Wolves)
Europa League - 2 KO Round (lost 3-2 to Man City on agg)

Ive got a win percentage of 50% after 100 games in charge so far. but ill be suprised if i was around for a 3rd year in charge.
1st Season i used a 4-4-2 formation and brought Lukaku, Di Maria and then Beckham in january + Verratti in january.
2nd Season so far ive used a 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation and brought Otamendi, Sissoko and in january i got Prodl but i cant win a trophy or any form at all really now. last 4 games i went back to 4-4-2 and beat West Brom 2-0, Lost to Wolves 3-1 (that was FA Cup Semi-Final) then i beat Wolves in a Prem game 2-1, then beat Newcastle 2-0, performances have been shocking despite narrow wins.
My big problem this season has been in the EPL, Big games i simply do not win or even score. During january 2011 i didnt score for 5 games in a row!

On FM08 you brought Lulinha, Vaart, Breno, Banega, Bojan, Farfan and was sorted. On FM10 i have figured out them must-buys more or less but havnt got anywhere.

Any additional information you need just ask and ill put it up...

How do you manage Tottenham?
 
Do you mean can you please direct me to a good Tottenham tactic?
 
Yeah mostly apart from UglyTottenham cause its ... Ugly lol I went Sexy Tottenham
I wanna know how other people do good with Tottenham?
Who do they buy?
Who do they sell?
What formation is successful with Tottenham?

Is that any good or am i wasting time using that?

4-4-2 is last millenium i think, Its exposes your back 4 so many times but its a safety tactic when building a team so ive gone back to it.

I might need help with WinRAR and Tactic installion in a moment cause i havnt used WinRAR for years and even the i only got Skins. BBC skin looks good. + I need EPL Logos. But i think there is a thread for that?

I need a formation and players to fit a system of attractive/successful going foward but solid at the back.
This has become a nothing thread, Im sorry, I need the genouristy and knowledge of the FM-Base community to help me really badly otherwise im going to flop everytime i play FM.

i´ve looking at yout team and i think that my tactic may work for you.

just make some changes on the attacking corners, it´s a little bit vulnerable when the team loses the ball.

Poor Defoe, is he scoring anything? Because he shouldn't be let alone there.
 
What Frutty said. Defoe needs someone like Crouch to partner him up front. That should sort out goal problems. :)
 
I finished 2nd in the first season using Spurs real life tactics which I looked up in the tactical thereoms guide. (Actually lost the title in a decider against Chelsea on the last day of the season! Gutted!)

The only signing I made was Van Der Vaart for 8.5m

The Formation is a little out of balance, but is as follows
GK
DR(Wing Back) DC(Stopper) DC(Cover) DL (Wing Back)
MC (Ball Winner) MC (Deep Lying Playmaker) MR (Winger)
AML (Inside Forward) Modric loves this role!!
ST (Deep) ST (Advanced)

Played Counter attacking, finished with 87 points and 2 decent cup runs

Have now won 3 league titles playing this way and am on for the treble this time out! Try it, all credit goes to Harry Redknapp LOL

I've just looked through and cant find exactly where I got the idea now, but it is in there! lol

I had been horribly unsuccessful until I consulted that guide, gave me some great ideas! I had Modric sold by the board, so Gio Dos Santos took his role as Inside Forward on the right, and I moved Kranjcar to ML
 
just completed April 2011 and won Manager of the Month for the PL. Id give it back if i could after the humiliating defeat against Wolves in the FA Cup Semi-Final ... 3-1 i cant believe.

Thank You for your tactic suggestions, Im checking them out as we speak. Spurs appear to be an easy team to manage and im nearly there, its just the final push to being successful. Should i have won the big games ive had this season then id have had a great season but such is football. A learning curve.

TACTIC tried so far ...
4-4-2 (The one tested with Chelsea, Tottenham, Sunderland and someone else)
And ive lost 2-0 to Liverpool, beat Bolton 2-0 ...
Im going to try a new tactic for last 2 games against Stoke (Home) and Burnley (Away)
and in pre-season im going to try and get the right tactic in place for 2011/12, I'll let you know what tactics in my story...

iv jus drew 1-1 at home to stoke using 4-4-2 fluid standard (3rd game wit tac)
going to give Goals Galore 2010 v9 for last game of season against Burnley away

Rubbish tactic, Totally unrealistic way to play football. Dont like that one at all.
Previously ive beaten Burnley 4 times out of 4 ...

Season 2 now finished, Final place 7th
