Just as the topic sais I'm wondering if someone could tell me the optimal way to play FM fast without missing out on a bunch of stuff.

Right now my assistants handle:
Press (alot faster but im missing out on relationship building)
Training (He also sets individual training, finding it realy hard to make players happy with their training takes alot of time to find the right balance ln your own. But im missing out on being able to develop players the way I want.)
Opposition instructions (Works well, no need for me to do it)
Youth team contracts (I find that a good assistant can get alot better deals, saves me time)

Other things I've cut back on are subscriptions and playing time set to key. Got 20 scouts so they each got their own region, basicly handles themselves.

Even tho I've cut back on all these things I'm still advancing very slowly, we're talking 1 season - 12 hours game time atleast. I'm content with the loading times. All the other stuff that takes time. Thwn you read about people who advance 5 seasons every real week, for me thats more time spent playing than I'm at work. So how do you do it?

Tried classic but feel its way too limited, I enjoy the interactions and the huge database. Only wish I have is for it to be a bit faster. Just hoping someone could give some tips.

What I tend to do is set a point in the season where you'll get most things of a certain area done.
Early on it's all about tactics, staff and initial training up until the first transfer window closes. That's always the slowest point in my games usually taking a few hours depending on what I need to do.

From then on it's just about having a clear idea of when YOU plan to do things, every three months I set a note to go change my training around. So once every three months after I've done the initial messing around I can just quickly roll through my team switching around players that I feel need it or are doing badly. By doing it this way for me atleast I can control who develops what way without having to really focus and pay attention to it because I can just switch off and waiting for the next little note to pop up.

As for player contracts I tend to sort them on a rotation basis so that every season I'll get a fairly even number running out and the same the following season instead of suddenly having 50 run out at once and none the next season.

they made thew newer fm's harder so you can't go through one season in a matter of hours, 12 hours for one season is quite good i would imagine.
