How do you set up a network game via Hamachi?

I have been trying for several hours now... getting ******* ****** off!

I have Googled guides, etc etc.. watched vid's!

1) Donwloaded Hamachi
2) Set up new network, mate joined the Hamachi network fine, first time, I can see him on the server
3) gave him password/ID and my 5.95.193.249 number from Hamachi
4) started game, run as server clicked
5) he starts up Fm12, join network game, filled in my Hamachi IP, UNABLE TO CONNECT!

this can't be rocket science...
 
when your setting up the game are you doing "New Network Game" or "Start New Game"?
 
I have tried both!

The guides do say Start a new game like normal...
 
Not sure, tried it with my mate the other day and when I hosted it he got "Unable to connect" but when he hosted it I was able to connect fine.
 
Had the same problem with my mate, but when I hosted it there was no problem. Maybe he should try hosting it, and see if that works? If possible of course.

EDIT: Already mentioned above... ****, sorry -.-
 
You may not be able to connect to eachover, try a different host.
 
host? not Hamachi?

cant you just create a network game via Fm12?
 
Yes ask someone else to set-up a Hamachi network and try join them, it may be a problem on you're side so someone else setting it up may work
 
what do you put as the join server details when joining a network?

the Hamachi IP: 5.29.226.228 for eg:

or the IP on the game itself under Game Status?
 
Hamachi IP of host but it should come under local severs when someone is trying to join one if not just enter hamachi IP
 
we go it to work, I am not the host though..

going to try set one up in a bit as the host, its running very slowly o
 
I'm looking forward to this and the twist it will hopefully have to make it that bit better than other network games I've played.
 
How did you get this to work in the end as my mate and I are having the same problem.
When I am on FM as the host the IP address is different to the Hamachi network we are connected to, should it be the same as the Hamachi one or is that how it is meant to be?
 
I'm struggling with this too, I don't dare attempting one, but if any of you guys would be willing to let me join one it'd be great
 
hey bud, sorry we are not playing anymore, it was more of a tester really :) I honestly prefer playing normally anyway! it takes too long playing network games ;)
 
its you or his firewall thats blocking him from joining unless he has a different version from you im not good at how to allow programmed through a firewall so if i get the problem i generally just turn it off
