How do you view players ability levels?

Like im used to just a straight overall skill level in sports games. Seeing as thats non existent, what do you use to judge a players skill level?

And how do i go about finding it?

You can download software which looks into your game database and shows the ability and potential of all the players on the game.

Personally, that removes all the fun for me so I don't use it.

The best way to find players that would suit your team is to create a custom search in the transfer centre, specifying attributes they need to have high points in.
