I have read though a load of your posts and you all seem to have the players facs, all the cool backgrounds and club badges.

All these are things that I am wanting but can't get.

I am even struggling to get the latest patch, all down loads then it won't run.

Any ideas ?

Are you using Steam to run the game? If not, I suggest you do as the updates are automatic on steam and it worls fine.

As for graphics etc, have look under the threads for graphics on this site. Thi is one of, if not the best site Ive come across and Sean is doing a fantastic job here. All you need to do is find ywhat you want, ie, yuo want to get player faces for the EPL. There maybe a pack just for EPL, more commonly you'll find a superpack, which will contain player faces, ad boards for the matches, club logos etc.

Most threads will tell you download and install instructions but in my experience its been a simple case of downloading it to your folders. Any downloads for graphics should go to

C: (Your User Name)/ Documents and Settings/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2009/Graphics

Most of the time especially for newer users this folder does not exist. If this is the case just create it.

Other downloads are treated in the same way, except the final destination folder you download them to. Tactics will go into tactics, training into schedules etc.........

Be aware though, some downloads are compressed, most commonly in .rar file type. Just download WINRAR free and unzip them.

Happy Gaming.....

Excuse the stupid question but how do I run a stream? All I have done is installed the game and played it so I have it at its most basic.

I dont use the Steam, cause I got freaked out by creating an account. I used the second option, manually downloading patches, just like old days. Btw. I am FM freak, so I have the game original. Is there a difference batween manually patch updates and steam updates? And so, what is the difference, mainly players or game performance.

So you do it like me then, log on here try and down loaded the patch?

And it all worked fine for you?

If so did you have to do anything to your firewall to allow the new patch and the players faces and badges to run on your pc?

Ok GAZ take a deep breath....

theres no difference what so ever.

the game is the same and so is the patch, the only difference is that Steam does it automatically when you start the game and the other you have to manually patch the update...

theres guides all over this site in relation to graphics so keep reading and you'll know what you have to do.. (H)

Cheers it's the 1st time that I have tried such things, not that you can tell :D.

Do I need to uninstall to run a stream? and if I run a stream do you get all the updates i.e badges etc?

I am sorry for being so stupid and asking daft questions but its the 1st time I have had a decent PC so I can now access all these cool things.

Ok First it's called steam not stream and the situation is that steam will only apply the patch cause its made by the developers, the skins and faces and stuff are made by the gamers themselves...

Steam will not put them in for you,

dont go uninstalling, your wasting your time, in this site is the latest patch, download it and follow its instructions then get back here and get whatever graphics you want and add them, the guides are very straight forward and you should have no trouble making it look the business!!!
