Hi,

I like reading peoples Football Manager stories around the internet and they are sometimes an inspiration to me to play a much richer and deeper game. When I read these stories I notice how in depth some players go in terms of scouting, training, training, U18, reserves, youth development, tactics, matches and back room staff etc. Really immersing their selves in the game. Sometimes with saves in the 2030's etc

It all sounds great and I would love to really immerse myself much more into the game but it is all incredibly time consuming and seasons must take an age.

My questions are;

- How long does your season generally take? (What team/league)

- How do you ensure your season doesn't drag on for too long?

- How many leagues do you have selected?

- What settings do you use such as mail subscriptions?

- What match settings do you use such as speed and highlights etc?

The length of a save depends on how much time you have to play, how much you put into the game and how long it takes you to make tactics, signings and how seriously you take it.

Personally, I tend to get really into a save for around 2-3 seasons then get bored of it. It's all about personal preference, its your game, play it how you want. There is no right or wrong way how to play.

In response to your questions:
- I can fly through a season in a day if I sit and play all day.
- I've been playing that long that I don't read certain mails as I know they are pointless.
- I have a custom database which includes players from countries that I know produce good youngsters.

and the other questions are up to you.

Usually around 24 hours of game time. I'm quite a slow player.

- How do you ensure your season doesn't drag on for too long?

I don't!

- How many leagues do you have selected?

15 countries, something like 30 leagues.

- What settings do you use such as mail subscriptions?

Receive sackings, signings, competition winners and new managers for the top leagues.

- What match settings do you use such as speed and highlights etc?

Extended highlights. No replays. Match speed, first bar is one click to the right, from the middle. Second is the same, so it looks 3/4.

For me it all depends on how long i have to play it, but generally a week or two per season. I get more enjoyment out of seeing players that i sign at a young age develop in to quality players. I have found that once i have done the majority of the background work near the beginning of a game and at the start of each season, the rest of it doesn't take very long. I would recommend trying it and be willing to put the time in to one save, i think you will enjoy it
