How long till I get the best out of forign players?

I know it takes a while for forign players to set into a new country and get used to a new league so how long do you think it will take before I get the best out of Danny De Rossi?

As far as I am aware it all depends on certain elements like adaptability as well as hidden attributes that you cannot see. Otavio took 2-3 years to settle on my Newcastle save and I am now reaping the benefits. I thought about selling him but stuck with him and glad I did. On the other hand, Markus Henriksen after 3 years was still rubbish for me so I sold him on at a loss so all depends how long your willing to give them.

How do I find out how good his adaptability is?

Sorry, I badly worded my post. That is something you cannot see liek other hidden factors.

So it is impossible to know how long it will take for him to settle in? There should be something when scouting the player that helps you

I'm afraid so. One option is you could sign someone from the same nation to help him settle in.

What about if I signed his Dad who is a coach would that help?

Not sure but I would assume favoured personnel would help a player to settle.
