How many hot prospects should you have?

So I think I made the mistake of signing toooo many hot prospects. (I would basically sign anyone that was cheap and was given the "quality"/"good" scouting report.) My question is about how many signings do you make a transfer period and how many hot prospects should you have.

I will sign as many as I can afford.
I only sign players that have 4 stars above PA in the scouting reports or a player that is well known as a wonderkid.

As long as you have them on many positions, it's never too much. Bringing like 5 great prospects at the same position is a bad move. Just look to make it balanced, so you cover all positions that you might need in the future

Send some normal ones out to loan then play some promising ones by rotating them.
