Hey,just was wondering how often you guys move clubs and why? Do you always try to win the league and CL and then move on or just when the right job becomes available?
Thanks

Only time i have ever managed 2 clubs in 1 save on FM has to be last year when i had a completely AMAZING Dinamo Zagreb team in 2026 and the TOP Seria A teams were offering me jobs, i just left for Milan to see if my tactics would work with any team.

I also left Manchester United for Racing Club (Argentine) a few FMs back, but i quit fast.

I normally stick with one team per save. I like to put the effort into building a great team rather than individual success/growth. If I want a new challenge or new team I just start a new save. I am considering doing a journeyman save on this FM though as I am doing things I have never done before already.

Sticking with one team is always the best for me. I like to build for the future in terms of buying players, so in the first few years of my save it seems pointless moving on without really living up to my potential with the current team of promising players, only to then start it all again somewhere else. I also get to the top end of the top divisions within a few years as those players do hit their potential so I wouldn't feel like moving to any other club would be a step up.

It's very hard to leave after you've set up a team according to you, and then watching a manager destroy it is even worse. I usually stick with a team in my saves except a Journeyman save where I start unemployed with sunday league player as experience and climb my way up.

Journeyman is fun, I like to add other countries leagues now and then, I've managed in England, Germany and Italy. and I have to say I liked the german league/calendar much more, not to mention is much easier compared to other leagues and no nationality restrictions and good budgets to work with. I managed Furth and got them up to 1st division and I always qualified for Euro/Champions Cup. Now I'm at Inter in italy and it's boring and requires alot of micromanaging, can't wait to be sacked so I can go back to a german club.

And about the regen thing, I dont pay much attention for it anymore, if the youngster have attributes Im looking for a role I use them, otherwise I buy someone, or try another formation.

I left once. I dominated on my save with Ajax. Won about every title in dutch competition. Won Uefa cup, Champs league and have a young team with more than enough potential to grow to world class, transfer budget over 90m, high quality youth team about to break through and 4.5-5 star staff.

I just got at a point there was no point in playing as the only struggles i might get were in the champs league. So i went to a foreign league and made a new manager in the Eredivisie trying to break the hierarchy of Ajax which i made.

Thanks for the reply lads,i agree with building for the future.Seems pointless leaving with talented youngsters in the team:)

Right now I can't even settle with the one team! Just can't get into FM this year

While managing Bayern in FM13, i received an offer from Barcelona to take over, with a nice 105 mil transfer budget. They already had like the best squad in the game, so it would have been easy to win the CL (this save was my first without cheating save/load). I decided to stay, and won the CL the same year :D .
Long story short: I never move.

i started as leeds at the beggining and got them into the prem finished 9th got the sack so went to crawley got them into the prem finished 11th got the sack went to regensburg in germany took them to the top and now i winning everything with them bar champ league i got to qf's but i have a team of greatness but i will after i feel the time is right look to start again at another bottom german english or spanish team as i enjoy the challenge of gettin promoted

Always sticking with one club. Don't like building the team and than just leaving it. Used to play with all possible teams in almost every league, now I play only with Barcelona. The only FC I truly love. Played with Hull City f.e. in 2005, made them second in Europe and after 4-5 season I just stopped loading that save. Only with Barca I never get bored.

You played with Ajax on FM 14? o: Did you get them to play totaal voetbal?!

I personally rather stay at a club & try and build something special instead of going from club to club. More than 95% of my long-term careers would see me stay at the club I started with.

I always start with my favourite team and only ever leave if I get the sack. If that happens though I'm usually less loyal to the clubs I move to and often take job offers from bigger clubs.

I tend to vary my saves, I occasionally have Journeyman saves where I will only fulfill my contract and move on. I usually have long term saves with Dortmund and Napoli and mainly have a long term save when I do a root and branch with Southampton.

I actually had one of my best saves when I was sacked as palace manager, I then waited 10 months until I got the Sheffield Wednesday Job. Saved them from relegation with 10 games remaining and then took them up into the prem and then into europe over like 8 years.
