How the **** can i make this work? any help welcome

hey guys.
how can i make andy carrol score, so far he has 2 goals and im coming to the end of the season.
he also is lazy in training and no matter how much or how i tell him he just gets arsy and doesnt work any harder, he is now playing in my reserves as pacheco is more effective in front of goal.
i dont want to have to sell him because the most i can get is 8 mil due to the **** season he is having.

also im not new to these games and this is the first time i have had this much of a problem with a player. i have tried him different roles, with and without partners, with and without wingers, different training schedules, dropping him to reserves, threatening him with the transfer list, etc, etc.
the only part of this i am new to is playing a big strong striker that has as low pace as carrol. normally i stick to the faster big men like sanogo and babacar.

can i also say that all the rest of my strikers are havin no trouble scoring. suarez has 31 in 42 games , caio 14 in 27 and pacheco 6 in 3 (but loads of sub appearances).

How are you using him? Position-wise and mindframe, and is your game set to utilise him? How do your team usually attack?

Ahh okay mate, all I think of suggesting is trying him as obviously a target man, but use wingers to get balls into dangerous areas where he can head the ball. He has good strength so you could use him in a support target man role with Suarez and have him hold it up for others to pass him. He may not have to score bucket loads this way, but you may feel that seeing him play this way contributes to the team more.
 
Agree with above post, ask Carroll to hold up ball too.
Or maybe you wanna try this tactic.

thanks guys. im not gonna change my formation for just one player. also thanks for your formation for me to use but i dont like using other peoples formations because it takes half the fun out of it. half the game is finding a formation that works how you want it to and wins games.
il end up selling carroll and just buying someone like lavezzi or guisseppe rossi. smaller nipply flairy strikers are far better in this game.

Guys just to let you know, i gave up with carroll and just started using him as suarez' stand in, didnt even change the role from poacher, but incredibly and carroll seems to work best as a poacher. he had 4 goals in over 30 games last season, this season he has played 11(so far) and scored 14 with 4 assists. im only in november so if he carries on hes on target for a 30+ goal season. i tried to do screen dumps to prove it but its proving troublesome. il try post some later.

honestly mate try using him as a poacher, he just bangs them in. i was playin him as advanced forward originally and he fluffed every chance, as a poacher he finishes every other shot.
and dont even mention when i played him as a target man.....that was terrible
