How To Activate Your Copy of FM 10 With Steam

Step 1

Open up Steam and click on Games.

Step 2

Choose Activate a Product on Steam.

Step 3

Follow the onscreen instructions and enter your FM 2010 Product Code when asked.
 
I've registered FM10 with steam, but say my internet connection goes off I still have the actual disc so can I use it with the disc instead of steam when I choose?

I've done exactly what you said on steam but it is still unable to find a disc. HELP!

i tryed to Activate it with stream i know i dont like useing it but it kept saying my cd key wrong i kept trying and it said the same thing i gave up in the end
 
hey i downloaded my copy using steam and as such didn't get the cd case with the product key or anything... so if i want to activate it where do i get my product key from??? pls let me know thanks
 
If you download it with Steam you don't need to activate it with Steam. Just log in with your Steam account and it should be in your games list.
 
Wat happens if iv already installed via steam and then uninstalled it then re-installed normally??n now want to install via steam again but sayin product key ain't valid?wat do I do then?
 
I've tried doing this several times but it keeps saying my product key is wrong when I'm 100% sure it's correct.
 
It's worth a try. I'm not sure if there is one for FM 2010.
 
Quick question... When I try to activate it, it keeps trying to re-install it, but I've already installed it, I just want to have it on my steam account so it updates automatically.. Do you know how I do this?
 
I think you have to re-install via steam to activate it but that may mean you lose all your game data, I'm not entirely sure though/.
 
Your Product Key is on the back of the Booklet in your FM 2010 Case.
 
Once you have activated the game using the steam product key you can no longer use that product key again it is now Un-Useable ..
 
Hi, I just downloaded FM10 from steam and then used updated to 10.3 patch and now game is asking for activation key but obviously I dont have one......anyone can help me ? The game worked fine before the patch...

Did you install the patch yourself? Because steam patches automatically, if you try to isntall the patch yourself then all **** breaks loose
 
Yes I did because when I was in the game settings it said I had version 1 was that actually normal ?
 
Yes thats normal, steam automatically installs all patches for you, if you have then tried to install the patch over the top then you will encounter serious problems.

I reccomend uninstalling the game and reinstalling via steam, simply allow it to update again, and then start playing.
