How to arrange friendlies?

I'd like to arrange friendlies with bad teams to boost my team, I'm new to FM, can anyone tell me simply how I can go about doing this? Thanks a lot! Also happy new year

click on 'fixtures' then at top of the list of teams there is a button 'arrange friendly'

Alternatively, click on any team you wish to playu against and there should be a button in the top left with "propose a friendly" written in it. Click that and find an appropriate date.
