Hi guys.

I'm playing the Turkish First Division with Galatasaray and this season 2012/2013 I've suddenly seen that the possibility of foreigners have been brought back from 10 players in my selection to 8 players.

The past two seasons I've had 10 non-Turkish players in my selection. From these 10 players I only could use 6 players for my first-11 squad and 2 on the bench. Which are the normal rules in Turkey.

And another question. I've bought a non-fee player from Kayserispor who is from Argentina. His name is Franco Cangele and he's been playing in Turkey for almost 6 years. Normaly he should get a Turkish nationality but for some other reason the 1825 days where back to 0 since I've got him in my squad. At the time he played for Kayserispor last season, about in December he got only about a few days, lets say a 100 days but since I've got him in my squad the 1825 days has started from 0 again.

Is there any possibility to edit these rules and bring them back from 8 to 10 non-Turkish players again. And can I change the maximum days from 3650/1825 days to 1825 accumulatively?

The season hasn't started yet. I'm in August 2012 at the moment.

Regards,

Serhan Uysal

(PS: Sorry for the language. I'm from Turkey)

you cant edit these rules without starting a new game

what you can do is use FMRTE to edit some of your foreign players, give them a second nationality of Turkish and then they wont be foreign

Weird.

Actually I can remember that I did change the rules, I thought it was in the 2009 version but I just can't remember how and with which tool I did.

Thanks for the quick replies anyways guys. If anyone knows suddenly how to change those things, please feel free to PM it to me.

People have told you how to change them. Use FMRTE for your current save.

Use the official editor to edit the DB for your future saves.

To change the rules you'd have to re-create the leagues from scratch, and that requires you to know how much prize money etc to give out.

Hi, I wanted to play a save where the maximum number of foreigners per league/competition was always zero for every league, meaning you had to play in your country's league (unless of course you had a foreign passport obviously). I assumed this wouldn't be too difficult and that all you'd have to do was edit the league rules and make it so the maximum number of foreigners was zero. But I guess you can't do that. Is there any way I could possibly play a save like this? Someone mentioned re-creating every league and giving it rules, how time-consuming/difficult is that? I've never really done editing before, not to mention I work a lot of hours. If this is impossible, would I be able to do it in an older version?

Basically I want to recreate the old era of the sport when you played in your country and the South American leagues were the best (in this save I'd be a South American team). Also I'd delete the Club World Cup and make the Intercontinental Cup, and probably a second-tier Intercontinental Cup (play the winner of the Copa Sudamericana against the winner of the Europa League). This is all I really want to do in FM right now, and I was about to buy FM11 but if I can't play a save like this than I won't bother buying it, I'll just buy an older version where I can edit the game accordingly.

Edit: it seems that you would do this in the 'Request a Database' thread, no? Would they be able to make a database like this? Would it be possible to have the rules kick in to place at a different time? Like have normal rules for the first season, make it 3 foreigners max for the second season, and 0 for the third season? If not that's OK, if it's possible to do this at all I'd be happy.
