How to close a thread?

This is going to make me sound like a complete idiot and i did look but there was a problem with the link but I have two stories im not updating anymore and was just wondering how to close them?

Youcan't close a thread by yourself. You have to ask a mod to do it. You know a mod by, that his name appears green.
