Okay so here is the deal.

I have ALWAYS been the type of guy who has downloaded other people's tactic but today I decided that it should all change!!

I really want start creating my own tactic but in my head it seems so stinking hard....
I have started to read the Tactical theorem and even though it makes sense when I read it I just can't seem to apply it in the game. I always have a good idea and start to create my tactic BUT as soon as I start a match it doesn't go the way I planned... And I also can't seem to get what the problem is... There are so many stat's and great things but how do UNDERSTAND it....

How do you guys do it? Would the best thing be to restart the game and play the same match over and over again until I archive my goal or should I play like 5 matches and then start over or what....

Please help...
Thanks to all in advance :)

just start off simple with a 4-4-2 maybe. also use the tactics creator, it helps you figure out the roles and duties to use and then just taylor it to your squad. try not to get too bogged down with the tiny details until you've mastered the basics. hope this helps mate :)

The best way to learn is to eliminate as many variables as possible amongst those you cant effect. Take over a gelled team, so that the players have formed a good understanding, use a normal pitch and play in a top division in a top league to avoid having players or facing players with major flaws.

Start with using a balanced strategy within a rigid or balanced philosophy. Then play some games in full mode, playing the game slowly. After 15 minutes, use some of the shouts like "play more narrow", drop deep, play wider, only use one of them so that you learn what they do.Then use the next shouts, retain possession, pass the ball into space etc etc and perhaps change the strategy to attack or overload. Look how these changes effects the flow of the game. After that, its just trial and error

Thanks for the great tip there! Really appreciate it.
Would you guys suggest playing one game and constantly start over until I get it right or just go for a season with no restarts?

i'd go a whole season and see how it goes, try not to get to attatched coz thats what gets you annoyed coz you aint winning, listen to whats said in the board room as well, sometime just assigning roles is all you need. Also try not to change everything, like tick every tick box etc, it over complicates it
