How to develop youth academy

Right now I am playing as Real Madrid and due to basically unlimited funds I want to focus on developing my youth. I have a few questions about that:

1) Is it more beneficial to put players on my u19 squad or castilla squad?
2) Will signing younger players do anything to help my youth academy grow
3) Other than talking to the board, is there anything else you can do to develop your youth academy?

I dont have a clue about number 1 or 2 since i've never really been bothered as long as I gave them playing time a good schedule.

But as for number 3 you could try some tutoring, like using Kaka to nurture a young CM, AM to pass on his experience etc.

Can't be much more of help to be honest, but just throw in some youth players during cup matches where you know it should be a comfortable win, even coming on as a substitute is beneficial to their growth.
