How to exchange a player when a bid is received?

I received a bid for Blind from Real Madrid. They have William Carvalho on their team who's about the same price as Blind. So what I want to do is simply try to exchange players. But when I go to their offer and add "Players to exchange option" and click on "Add" the only option I have is "Other players from squad" which only leads me to Madrid's roster where I don't see an option to add Carvalho. Even when I right click on him.

Anybody has an idea how I can do this?

Reject Madrid's bid. Then go to Carvalho's profile, go to transfer offer -> Exchange Player, and you should be able to do the rest..
