How to exchange players

I cannot find anywhere the option to exchange a player when I bid for a player.

When I go to make an offer I click on 'Add' then 'Other' and it takes me to my squad. In previous versions of FM you just had to right click on the player, go to the 'Transfers & contracts' pull out and 'Exchange player' would be at the top (or something like that anyway). Now it is not there and I cannot find anywhere to select the player I want to exchange.

Why is this? Where is the option now?

It takes u to ur squad, and right click on the player as normal. Or click the player, will have button exchange at right side.

There is no Exchange button for me anywhere like there used to be

In fact, the option for add - transfer listed players is also greyed out, even though I have players on my transfer list.

Is there any scenario's where you are not allowed to exchange players?

Ignore this. It just clicked as soon as I posted my last comment. I am trying to sign a player from Athletic Bilbao. They only sign Basque players so obviously can't sign my players as they are not Basque!
