How to get 5 star players from my youth intake?

I have been looking into it with Sheffield United i have

Good Junior Coaching
Extensive Youth Recruitment
Top Youth Facilities
Youth Setup Category 2
Widespread world scouting knowledge

i am in 2020 and so far the best regen i have got had 2 star potential!!

Iv read online that some clubs will just never get good youth is Sheffield United one of them?
 
Until you get to the same level as the top clubs in terms of youth set up you won't be able to get the best English regens. However, if a 5 star potential player is produced in the city of Sheffield, the chances are he'll go to your club (unless Sheffield Wednesday have increased their youth as well). It's a waiting game when you're not one of the best clubs. Look to get that set up category to 1 and you should start seeing 3 star potentials come your way.

Another thing is ask your board for a feeder club with the objective to finding young talent in foreign lands. For example if Arsenal had Boca Juniors as their feeder club then every other year or so Arsenal will produce an Argentinian player from their youth intake.

My reputation has increased alot but still no luck i suppose i can jsut keep waiting :(

I will try the feeder club thing tho i didnt realise that helped with your own intake
 
Stars are relative to your current team and the teams around you and your scout/assistant's judging PA/CA.

For example, if you have a few regen that are better than Messi, you might see Messi as a two/three star player, even though he is world class.

Edit: Basically, what I'm saying is, don't go based on stars, they are just a guideline (per-say) but you should look at the players stats and decide yourself.

yeah i did realise that because with 2 stars it still says they can become a leading Premier League player in the future maybe im not doing too bad after all
 
Yeah, if it says that, its probably a good sign. If you get a five star player with a world class squad already, then you know the five star player has a really high potential.

Thats good to no...but tbh iv probably sacked a few good players in the last few years as the 2 stars were making me think they were awful...WHOOPS!!

You can go back through you transfer history and see for yourself if you really wanted to! xD Just look at players you released on a "Free"

Youth recruitment if i'm not mistaken is responsible for an average PA of a youth player.
Junior Coaching deals with CA.
Hope that helps.
 
Youth recruitment for PA, solid scouting network, make sure you're cat1 and then work on getting your reputation as high as possible.


Apart from that sit and hope, it's unlikely you ever will mind, England might get 2-3 in a good year.
