How to get add ons actually into the game!

put the file into:
User>My documents>Sports Interactive>FM11>Skins(or whichever folder you need your content put in)
Then when this is done load up the game. Go into preferences and graphics. Tick Reload skin on confirm and untick use skin cache.

I dont have fm loaded up at the min but have you tried update preferences or apply yet?
Or was the file compressed in a Zip file or rar file? If so it needs to be unzipped for it to work. If you dont have an extractor download Winzip,you can get a 45 day trial version for free.
