How to get players into coaching roles

As Kaka is coming to the end of his football career how do i go about giving him a coaching role?

If you look on the player interaction it will tell you what his long term plans are, if he says he doesnt want to stay in football or he wants to be a coach keep telling him you think he would be a good coach and he should eventually decide to become one.

Word of warning though, he still has about another 6 years before he will retire!

38 years old thats to long to wait, I tried getting Beckham as a coach before he retired but didn't how to go about it.
