How to improve my Southampton team?

Just finished my first season with them, took over near the end and finished 15th with some average results really, the team looked pretty solid but let in some sloppy goals and didnt score enough.

I think i need a striker to bang in the goals for me, a CM and a CB but I am open to other good players reccomended. I'm expecting to have about 6 million to spend, cheers!

i would say weak links are actually back 4 (maybe not fonte) and adam clayton i would look at replacing these

hmm as for cb try nathan ake (chelsea) he's 16 or 17 i guess ,monty gimpel (leeds united),ignasi miguel (arsenal), ryan bennet(peterborough)
LB:jerome roussillon(sochaux) around 1m
RB:romario around 1,6m
dmc:kevin pannewitz(rostock) around 1m
