Hi all,

I'm new here,

I now in my second season with Forest Green Rovers, we won automatic promotion first year so now in League 2.

My concern is now on finances, I am running on a low wage budget, with no transfer budget, but we are still losing money.

We are currently 500,000 in debt, and make a loss of around 50,000 a month.

How do i go about turning this round?

Thanks,

Chris

Sell players you don't need, even offer them for free if you keep getting no bids to get them off the wage bill. Get a feeder club and take the one who's offering the most in return. Try and get a good cup run going in the FA Cup cos' each round wins a bit of money and a good tie will possibly get you a sell-out.

It's also a good idea to sign youngsters who get released from premier league teams. Play them and then sell them at the first sign of an interest, unless they are doing well in which case you can negotiate a better fee. This is known as the "Youth to Gold" method, and with the extra income you can improve your stadium, training and youth facilities as well as your wage and transfer budgets.
