How to play 4-4-2 with Arsenal

I am going to start a new save with Arsenal to try and get them to play a 4-4-2. I have read that you will need to have good wingers to play the 4-4-2 and also you will get dominated in midfield because most teams will play 3 in midfield. My question is how can I ensure that I do not get dominated in midfield when a playing a 4-4-2 formation. My midfield pair would be Fabregas and Song. I would like some advice on how to set up my central midfield pairing. I was thinking of Advance Playmaker - Support and Central Midfielder Defend or deep lying playmaker - support and Central Midfielder Defend. This brings me to my next question which is waht do I do with Jack Wilshere. I have read that he can play as a Winger but I am not convinced. I did use a role player tool which identified that one of his best positions is playing as a Winger, so now I am confused with what to do with him.

My other plan was to play Nasri and Walcott as Wingers in a 4-4-2 formation

van Persie - Chamakh

Nasri ----------------------------- Arshavin

Song ----- Fabregas


Clichy -- Djourou -- Koscielny -- Sagna

Mike will this tactic work with man utd. Im not just looking for a tactic that can win the premiership because every tactic can do that. Looking for one which can bring success in the champions league. How are your results?
