how to play against a team who are using a defensive formation?

hi there,i'm currently managing wolves and after a season(2010),i come to a conclusion that my team has a weaknesses,especially when they are playing against team who're using a defensive formation....problem is,the AI seems to be learning and by all mean,ALL OF THE TEAM IN MY SAVE ARE USING DEFENSIVE FORMATION...help me please,i dont know what to do,last season my wolves finish at the 3rd post,now i'm struggling at the relegation zone as most of my match ended up with a draw :((

4-5-1?4-3-3?i noticed that most the AI team in my save are using 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 defensive formation to stop my ultra-high style of play...1st season i was banging like ****,2nd season my team is dropping like ****....anyway thanks for your suggestion,i'll try it mate,thx :D

my current strategy is:very fluid
control
more expressive
press more
more shorter
drill cross
more roaming

formation:4-2-4
gk:sweeper keeper defend
dc:both of them defend
wb:both of them support
2 midfielder:1 is central mid with support,the other is box to box
2 inside forward attack
2 upfront:1 is advanced forward,the other is deep lying with duty support

counter attack is on,offside trap is off
my four attackers,i made them to roam from their position;the inside forward i made them swap flank with each other and the same thing goes to the striker...

what thing that i have to change?

Try to keep possession lower on the pitch, almost on your side. Use deep lying playmaker who drops deep to get the ball, opposition midfielders have to follow him making gap between their midfield and defence. Then you should put 1 player to operate there, preferably an advanced playmaker, who can make through passes from there.

Theoretically works, give it a go.
