Hi guys, I need a hint.
I'm playing with Chelsea on a 4-5-1 formation (counter/rigid) with wingers cutting inside (Robben and Ribery).
I would like to know how do you guys handle against teams playing on a same formation but with wingers also swapping positions?
I've set my defense to zonal marking to avoind them to get out position but i'm still having some difficulties to neutralise wingers.
In my team Terry and Jagielka plays as central defender (cover/block) and pressure in their own area (just 3 tweaks to own half) and A.Cole and Srna plays as fullback (supporting) with pressure in ther own half (middle tweak).

What can I do to get the best of my defenders?

do you play with a high d-line or deep? an idea could be to put in your OI Mark Tightly-Never and Close Down-Always but i cant say i've came against teams who swap positions regularly (or not noticed).

another could be to play fluidly? not sure how it would help you but i play a 4-2-4 style formation with a fluid tactic and my two DM tend to help out especially when my wingbacks go forward, i normally have at least 3 to 4 players back because of how i play my DM.

Yes, i've settled my defenders in a deep d-line when playing in large/wider pitches.
Regarding OI when I ask my ***.manager he tells me to mark tightly in most of times and I do it.
I'll try to play in a fluid way and see how my defenders are going against wingers swapping their positions.

Any other hint to neutralise them?
