How to save editor db?!!!

when i make a player in the editor and then saves the player is not in the game. i think i may have done something wrong (aparently):'( i click File> Save editor data and then it saves...but as i was saying it does not work...it may have changed since i last played a football manager game (2006) :$
 
when you load the databse on the game, there is some writing with a tick box underneath where you choose which db to load. it says something like ''editor data files (enabled)'' or something like that. tick the box then start the game

could you please add more detail, i cant find any "editor data files" sort of thing...where? before i start a new game?
 
as far as i can tell you have saved everyhting in the editor correctly.

when you load up a new game, this screen should appear.

tick the box as i have done and then load the db. after you have loaded it you may be asked to confirm which files to load if have more than one

no, this one comes up... (click on the picture to see bigger...)

 
when you first click new game is there not an option to choose which databaase you are using? are you on the latest patch?

i was thinking the same thing so im trying to find the latest patch right now :D
 
whenever i click new game, that 'choose database' box comes up. i guess if you havent patched yet then there will be no option to choose a databse, and therefore no option to add in your edited files...
