Hey people,

I have tried searching the forums and either i dont know what im doing or there is nothing there.

I was wondering if there is any specific ways of scoring from set pieces? cos at the moment it just seems to be complete fluke. i tend ot win a lot for free kicks/corners and it would be very usefull to be able to score more often from them.

cheers.

For free kicks make a player with a high rating of free kick taking have all your free kicks and for coners get a good coner taker and sned them into the 6 yard boxs.

Corners into the 6 yard box and free kicks to best header, works for me.;)

Higher than level rate corner taker, two best headers of the ball challenging the keeper. At least a goal every other game that way. Cheesy as ****? You bet.

tell your best header in the team to challenge the goal keeper and put the delivery to 6 yrd box. i had Federico Fazio with AC Milan and he scored 15 goals in his first season

Why the set piece doesnt work for my team (Juventus) ??, I use Amauri, Chiellini and Criscito to challenge the keeper, and Giovinco or camoranesi to take the corner. I already set the corner to 6 yard box.Is that anything i miss?

Try having a player or two on the front post for flick-ons as well. The straight 'challenge keeper' exploit doesn't work the same as it did.

all you have to do is buy chris samba from blackburn and pirlo from AC milan. pirlo taking everthing eg-corners freekicks, and samba on the keeper and best header, challange keep ect....... problem solved:P

its good to have your corners inswinging on both sides which helps alot..

put corners and free kicks to 6 yard box and best header than have one of ur players with good heading, jumping and strength and set them to challenge keeper and mark keeper

dont know about set pieces am still looking myself but i have found a good corner taking tactic and it seems to be working very well for me an average of a goal a game.

CORNER TACTIC
Set your corners on team instructions to "6 Yard Box" on left and right.
Have your best right footed corner taker take left corners
Have your best left footed corner taker take right corners
Your player with the best heading and jumping you should set to "Challenge Keeper" THIS ONE IS MOST IMPORTANT!!
Your player with good speed and Heading should "Attack ball from deep"
Another player with good heading should" Attack Far Post"
A player with good Long Shots should"Lurk On Edge Of Area
Another player with good crossing should "Offer Short Option"
Finally Your best Finisher should "Stand On Far Post"
At least 3 players should "Stay back if needed

good luck hope it works as well for you as it has for me and if you come across any good free kick set pieces please let me know

Or try googling it mate:)

im only kidderminster but i scored 23 goals from corners last season...i found that giving specific instructions to every outfield player has major benefit. i put my three best heading players attacking neard post, chalenging keeper, attack far post and set the rest to positions that suited their attributes. e.g. a good shooter lurk outsidebox, good crosser - offer short option etc..
