I have recently started playing FMH 2012 with Gillingham in Division 2. Not knowing many of the players I opted to use the function to have the team populated (selecting pick team, in the actions menu). Does anyone know how the game picks the players for the game? I would assume it would pick the best team based on values and condition, however I have players that are constantly left out of the squad which are at 100% and seem to have superior values in the appropriate fields.

part from being boring and taking the fun out of the game, i wanted to get an idea of the best team to field is this a good way of doing so?
Additonaly, when assessing players to buy/play I look at the coach/scout recommendation for the number of stars they are given, is this an accurate way of picking players?
Any help would be much appreciated!
