How to work with Regens?

a thing i knew but never did (because im a little newb): how exactly do regens work? i have all the dates and stuff. that means when i reach that date, i'll search for: age max.16 and the respective leagues?
i'm currenty managing southampton, 14th september

Are you asking about youth Development ?

I have watched it...So are you asking how to search for best regen or what to do with them once you signed them?

How to search REGENS (better if i find the best). I've been across 3 regen dates but, it doesn't matter if I search like the guy in that video, I can't find them...

I love signing regens. My advice (which has worked for me the past 6 or so FMs) is not to 'look' for regens, make your scouts do it. I have a scout in each continent looking for players with a potential of at least 4.5*, I have the max age at 21 and see what my scouts come up with - they don't disappoint.

Signing the best regens takes time mate, but you'll eventually build up a youth team worthy of any youth set up in Europe. Make sure your youth facilities are the best to accommodate and make requests to the board to increase junior coaching and the youth recruitment network. Also ask the board for feeder clubs to increase the chances of recruiting foreign youngsters - all these factors increase your own youth intake.

Also so I never turn off the agent filters, sometimes I get regens offered to me who have high potentials.
But when do you send your scouts? Are you always sending them or do you only send them near the regen dates?

let's do it step by step together...First you need to sign scout that has good potenial ability,determination,and has knowledge of the country you are playing...read this

about scouts, i have some good ones. all of my scouts have 16+ potential abillity, 15+ determination and 2 of them have knowledge on my country (england). the other 3 have knowledge in central europe (only missing portugal, spain and france) and south america (argentina, uruguai, brasil and paraguay).

I hope you use the unrealistic option by your assistant as there is no use to approach someone who is not realistic...If you are managing a low profile club the board will not let you send the scout to Europe since they can't afford it...But if you managing a high profile club then you go for the one with most knowledge...the one with more countries knowledge...Also go see their career..see where they have worked...the one that has better career is your best candidate...
 
Right now, I can't afford new scouts, so I'll have to rely on what I have. Let's just hope it will work.

You can release one of your scout by mutual agreement...and then you have a vacancy...Also if you have an option for it by your board you can sign Chief scout...this position has better chance of getting a better scout...so, are you going solo or want to use any advice?

The problem is, some of the scouts I try to hire with 20 PA and CA don't want to come or they are asking for big wages.

There is an option to check a box "unrealistic transfers" at the top right screen..check (tick)it and your assitant would find for you only those scouts that are INTERESTED to join your club...That way you will not waste your precious time approaching staff that are not interested...

Then on that day go to transfers at the top bar, select europe then in filters just check England. Then at the top left, instead of all transfers, choose youth intake. Then just scout players from good youth academies like Southampton or you can also just scout all the players listed there.

Even some guys that want to come to my club, and have a good CA/PA demand enormous wages, which I can't afford.

That I already know, but I can only do it to the country I'm currently in? Example, I'm managing Southampton, that means I can only see England Regens? Can't I see, for example, Brazillian regens?
 
Welcome to the world of negotiations...What they are asking is only the first step in negotiations...first thing you want to know what kind negotiatitor he is...You want to learn his personaltiy before doing anything...All this info about him is on the right sight of the screen...Each one of them scouts ,it will show you HOW MUCH they would like to join your club...If someone is UNSURE you are goint to put a lot of effort to succeed...If one is slightly interested he is going to be a tough one to break....If someone is very interested it would be easy to sign him...Now each one of them has level of patience...If for example one has a lot of patience the negotiations could take more turns...If someone has a short fuse after two stages he could refuse...Now while you negotiatiate watch carefully for the color of his words..if the colot turns orange this guy is going very soon to turn red and refuse...Once he reuse you can't approach him again for the near period of time...he has to calm down before having interest again...You have all kinds of clauses that you can add to your offer...Don't give him all at once..give him a little bit every time and see if he is lowering his demands...You can cut half of his first demand if you are a good negotiatitor...Isn't this fun or what?...You make a move than he makes a move...It's like mind games...Remember that you can make him more intersted if you offer him to be A CHEIF SCOUT and not only a regular scout...Knock yourself out...

You can go, on the dates regens come out, go to transfers-world and select youth intake.

The regen dates are available on the forum, search them.

There you go, you can see all regens on the day they appear and get them cheaper because they don't have any contract signed.

Now you want to assign your scout an assignment...So you go to scouts screen and then to assignments...You click on new assignment...You choose the scout with the highest potential ability...You tell him his first assignmet would be searching all England...And now you tell him what specifically you are interested...What would you like him to do...You define for him exactly what fancy your mind...You can tell him how many stars should have as ability or potential or whatever you need..After finishing all the conditions you click start assignment...Now you go to your home screen and you choose the menu "scouts report" to be shown as your default one over another less interesting option and as days passess you look at total number of players found...you enter the report from there and see who he has found...If your conditions were the right ones you seek he is going to find the one you need...Now you can sign him if you like the report of the scout of him...Remeber to tick "unrealistic transfers" so he won't find one you can't afford...
