Hey everyone. In FM 2009 I'm Huddersfield in the default patch. My ambition is to eventually get them up to the Premier League. Here is my best starting 11:
GK= Matt glennon
DR= Andy Holdsworth
DL= Gary Sawyer (Signed from Plymouth for 160k)
DC= Nathan Clarke
DC= Andy Butler
MC= Jim Goodwin
MC= Michael Collins
AMR= Gary Roberts
AML= Amine Dennoun (Signed from Marseille for 130k)
ST= Keigan Parker
ST= Bartosz Slusarski (Signed from West Brom for 300k)

Here's some screenshots

The Season part 1

This is how the matches are getting along:

Fixture 1:
Huddersfield vs. Southend (League 1 match) = 2-1
Bartosz Slusarski had a pretty good debut in this match, putting me up
1-0 on the 11th minute. Keigan Parker added himself to the scoresheet on the 39th minute, making me feel pretty confident that I was going to go on and win this match.
Ahntony Grant scored on the 67th minute for Southend which got me feeling pretty nervous as I desperately wanted to hold onto the lead. But in the end there was nothing to worry about as the match finished 2-1 to me.

Fixture 2:
Huddersfield vs. Stockport (League Cup match) = 2-1
Gary Roberts scored on the 11th minute today. It was a pretty cool finish- he switched the all from his right foot to his left foot and scored a nice placed shot. However Nardiello scored on the 89th minute for Stockport and I was gutted. This went into extra time.
Slusarski put me back in front on the second minute of injury time in the first half of extra time and I was delighted.

Fixture 3:
Leicester vs. Huddersfield (League 1 match)= 1-1
Howard scored a goal for Leicester on the 40th minute but Dennoun soon equalised for me on the 44th minute.

Fixture 4:
Huddersfield vs. Stockport (League 1 match)= 2-1
Andy Booth put me ahead 35th minute but again it was another case of Nardiello strikes back for Stockport. He scored on the 72nd minute. However Booth put me in the lead again on the 85th minute and that was enough to ensure that I won 2-1, in what thought history had repeated itself from 2 weeks ago.

Fixture 5:
Charlton vs. Huddersfield (League Cup match) 2-3
So far this is one of my highlights of the season. I was emotionally exhausted after the match, and I was chuffed to bits considering I beat a team in the division above me.
Luke Varney put Charlton in the lead on the 10th minute. Then Hameur Bouazza added to the scoring route on the 16th minute. From there, Charlton thought it was plain sailing. But I had faith in my team.
Booth showed me a glimmer of hope on the 25th minute with his third goal of the season. Slusarski then equallised for me on the 66th minute. The match went into extra time.
Then the very thing I wanted to happen happened. Dennoun scored on the 4th minute of extra time. I wanted to keep the lead, so I set my mentality to Ultra Defensive and the Time wasting to the max.
Thefinal whistle blew, and the only down point of that match was my recent signing Slusarski getting injured on the brink of half time in extra time.
I'll make sure to keep you updated.

Got quite a few mates who are Hudds fans, they're expecting to be in the Prem in a few years the way they're spending! Mega-rich with their new owner. Suspect on FM2010 they'll be a good team to be if their finances are the same on the game as they are at the moment in real life.

The Season Pt 2

The next 5 games were good for me.

Fixture 6:
Bristol Rovers vs. Huddersfield (League 1 match)= 1-5
Amine Dennoun started the goal glut on the 11th minute. Darryl Duffy then equalised for Bristol Rovers on the second minute of stoppage time in the first half.
Keigan Parker then put me back in the lead on the 52nd minute. Parker then added another on the 65th minute. Phil Jevons then scored on the 78th minute to put the doubt of me winning beyond everyone's minds. Michael Flynn then completed the matches goals on the 81st minute to give me a very comfortable 5-1 win.

Fixture 7:
Srewsbury vs. Huddersfield (Johnstons Paint Trophy North 1st round match) = 0-1
A match that I was expecting to win a bit more comfortably but I suppose it was better than a loss. Luke Beckett scored the only goal of the match on the 71st minute.

Fixture 8:
Huddersfield vs. MK Dons (League 1 match)= 2-1
Gary Roberts scored the first goal of the game on the 22nd minute. MK Dons then equalised on the 39th minute through Ben Davies. Andy Holdsworth scored a beautiful 30 yarder shot on the 66th minute to make sure that I got the 3 points that day.

Fixture 9:
Leeds vs. Huddersfield (League 1 match)= 0-4
There is nothing sweeter than thrashing your fierce rivals, especially in front of their own fans. Well luckily on this particular day, that became reality. Slusarski made a great comeback from injury by smashing in two goals on the 19th and 30th minute. Gary Roberts also scored a brace on the 32nd minute and a penalty on the 76th minute. This will be a match that I'll never forget.

Fixture 10:
Huddersfield vs. Northampton (League 1 match)= 1-1
A deeply frustrating match on my account. Keigan Parker netted on the 76th minute and I was pretty pleased. I was about to celebrate a 7 match winning streak until Leon Constantine had to pop up on the 80th minute and ruin that feeling.

Wow 4-0 at Elland Road! Bet that went down well with the localsXD
Keep it up and good luck, I'll be following this thread so keep going.

The Season Pt 3

Fixture 11:
Huddersfield vs. Barnsley (League Cup match)= 0-0 (5-3 on penalties)
Already performing above expectations in the league cup, my match results in the competition weren't about to get any worse. With the match turning out to be 0-0 in normal time, I wasn't too dissapointed. After all, they were a league above me.
But a win was something I really wasn't expecting, no matter if it was on penalties or not. So I was pleased. Until the fixtures came out for the fourth round- I'm playing Man Utd!!!

Fixture 12:
Cheltnham vs. Huddersfield (League 1 match)= 1-0
I was really dissapointed with this match- I was so confident that my unbeaten run was going to stretch out to 12 games, but Darren Kenton scored on the 45th minute. But hey, I wasn't expected to do an Arsenal and go the whole season undefeated.

Fixture 13:
Huddersfield vs. Tranmere (League 1 match)= 3-1
My aim in this match was to put the dissapointment of my first loss of the season behind me and win this match. Well things didn't get off to a good start with Ian Moore for Tranmere scoring on the 16th minute. However the grass got greener as the match went on with Andy Booth scoring on the 38th minute, and Kiegan Parker soon adding to that goal with another one on the 39th minute.
The final goal of the match came from my right winger Gary Roberts.

Fixture 14:
Huddersfield vs. Stockport (JPT 2nd round match)= 0-1
This was my third match against Stockport this season already, and it was a case of third time unlucky for me, as Stockport got their revenge. The only goal of the match was a penalty scored by Peter Thompson on the 68th minute. Very frustrating because I wanted to go all the way in this competition but you know, that's football.

Fixture 15:
Brighton and Hove Albion vs. Huddersfield (League 1 match)= 0-2
At the current time of this match, I was third in the league, and Brighton were 1st, so my urge to beat them was as big as ever. And I did! Slusarski scored on the 20th minute, and Keigan Parker on the 75th. If I win the league, this will undoubtedly be one of the matches that helped me win it.

Th Season Pt 4

This month wasn't the best month a manager could have, that's for sure.
Fixture 16:
Huddersfield vs. Crewe Alexander (League 1 match)= 1-0
My left winger Dennoun got my team off to a flyer by scoring on the 45th second. However not all the things in the match were good, as my star striker slusarski got injured for the 3rd time already this season.

Fixture 17:
Colchester vs. Huddersfield (League 1 match)= 1-0
Not the best of times for Huddersfield, matt Lockwood scored a screamer from 30 yards on the 8th minute.

Fixture 18:
Huddersfield vs. Hereford (League 1 match)= 3-0
I was expected to beat Hereford and I didn't let the fans down. A brace from Slusarski and a goal from Andy Holdsworth was enough to win me the match.

Fixture 19:
Walsall vs. Huddersfield (League 1 match)= 3-3
Definetely a good match for the neutrals (is that how you spell it?). game started off as a nightmare as I was down 2-0 at half time. Slusarski scored a brace in the second half however to equalise the score, but then Walsall scored again. However Gary Roberts equalised to make it 3-3. After Roberts's goals, I had lots of chance but failed to get any in.

Fixture 20:
Scunthorpe vs. Huddersfield (League 1 match)= 3-1
In this match me and Scunthorpe swapped positions in the league, they took my place at second and I took their place at third. Very frustating and I had a right go at my players. Hopefully I'll get better in the next 5 games.

some mixed results but still doing very well on the whole. any chance of a league table screenshot mate?

Screenshot

Here is the league table currently before my match against Swindon 15th November 2008.

Looks good so far mate if you can get beckford and delph both great even in prem

You're going very well, and most importantly to the fans, you're above LEEDS;)

I wanted to get beckford but i thought slusarski... lets get him he's the cheaper option, defo value for money, but i'm gonna try and sign beckford next season, more results coming soon.

The Season Pt 5

Fixture 21:
Huddersfield vs. Woking (F.A Cup 1st Round match)= 6-0
Brilliant match if you were a Huddersfield fan. I dominated Woking all game, and I think they only got 1 shot in the whole match. A hat-trick from Slusarski with goals on the the 3rd, 35th and 75th minutes, and a hat-trick from Gary Roberts with goals on the 28th, 48th and 69th minute.

Fixture 22:
Manchester United vs. Huddersfield (League Cup 4th Round match)= 5-0
Well, this match turned out exactly like I expected it too, I don't think anyone was expecting me to beat Man Utd. Berbatov, Hargreaves and Tevez all scored in the first half and Michael Carrick scored two penalties. A match that I will want to forget.

Fixture 23:
Huddersfield vs. Swindon (League 1 match)= 0-0
Isn't it very annoying wher it's the last minute of the match, you're drawing 0-0 when suddenly one of your players scores. The officials give you time to celebrate before they raise that dreaded flag for an offside. Well sadly, that's what I went through today. Very frustarting, and that took me down to fourth.

Fixture 24:
Oldham vs. Huddersfield (Leaue 1 match)= 0-2
Again we beat a rival club today and we all went away feeling very happy, especially Andy Booth, who had been under-achieving in the season but had proved himself as a good striker by bagging a brace on the 64th and 68th minute.

Fixture 25:
Leyton Orient vs. Huddersfield (League 1 match)= 0-2
A good match in my opinion. Seeing as Andy Booth had scored a brace the previous match, I decided to put him on in this match instead of Keigan Parker, who was on a goal drought. And it payed off, as he scored one on the 34th minute and gary Roberts on the 79th minute.

The last two matches basically took me back up to second place.

The season pt 6

Fixture 26:
Dagenham and Redbridge vs. Huddersfield (FA Cup 2nd Round match)= 1-1
I was expected to win this match but it was one of those days. Gary Roberts hit the post from a penalty on he 40th minute which left me feeling frustrated. However Huddersfield were given another chance with anoither penalty on the 65th minute, which Gary Roberts redeemed himself for. But the celebrations were cut short as yet another penalty was given, but this time to Dagenham and Redbridge on the 75th minute which Ben Strevens scored. A strange match, but I hope I can do better in the replay.

Fixture 27:
Huddersfield vs. Hartlepool (League 1 match)= 5-1
After landing myself a touchline ban I was only able to pick the squad and whatch my team. Luckily my assistant is a decent manager so he took care of it smoothly.
Nightmare to start off with as Richard Humphreys netted a goal on the 8th minute. However my left winger Amine Dennoun managed to pull one back on the 12th minute from 20 yards out. Andy Booth then put me in front on the 19th minute, and Gary Roberts with a penalty on the 59th minute. Keigan Parker ended his over 11 hour goal drought with a goal on the 79th minute. Shortly after Gary Roberts netted again on the 85th minute to round off what was a good match to whatch for Huddersfield fans.

Fixture 28:
Huddersfield vs. Dagenham and Redbridge (FA Cup 2nd Round Replay match)= 2-0
Chance for revenge against these League 2 underdogs and I did the job. Slusarski with a goal on the 10th minute and Dennoun on the 66th minute. Too bad I'm playing Blackburn in the 3rd round.

Fixture 29:
Huddersfield vs. Carlisle (League 1 match)= 3-2
A suberb hat-trick from Slusarski with goals on the 1st, 18th and 41st minute helped me to victory over The most Northern team in proffesional football in England. By Carlisle's second goal I have to admit I was feeling a bit nervy but nothing to worry about which showed at the end of the match.

Fixture 30:
Millwall vs. Huddersfield (League 1 match)= 2-1
I made a good start to the match with Andy Booth scoring a header on the 4th minute. However Lewis Grabban and Marc Laird netted a goal each to make sure they won. If I'd have won that match I would have gone top of the league.

Going very well still. Will probably be Boothy's last season if he retires the same time he did in real life. How did you get a touchline ban lol?
