Hull City- Onwards And Upwards.

Hull City, have only spent one season in top flight football- That being under the leadership of Phil Brown's who's contract was terminated after a dismal end to the season- Hull survived by the skin of their teeth. Hull wanted change, and change come in the form of former Plymouth Argyle player Connor Clarke. He knows the big task he has to keep Hull in the Premier League.... Does he have the guts?

Season Targets: Avoid Relegation
Transfer Budget: 7.5 Million

Key Defender: Anthony Gardner
Key Midfielder: Jimmy Bullard
Key Striker: Jozy Altidore

Transfer Targets:
A Center Back.
A Natural Right Midfielder
And 2 Goalscorers who can score goals in the Premier League on a regular basis.

"You can only survive if you believe you can survive"

i would look for a cheap attacker and defender because in those departments theres nuthing special abuot your team ill follow

Cheers mate,

Was thinking about Slyvan Ebanks Blake and Andy Carroll (Loan To Buy)

Any of other suggestions?

I'm Hull on a network game at the moment, here's a list of my transfers so you can maybe see who you could buy or sell. I was doing terrible until January when I had a major overhaul of players. I got quite a lot of money for some very poor players, especially Anthony Gardner and Richard Garcia.

I would particularly recommend Enyeama, Booth, Yatabare, Canales and Carboni.

Hope this helps, I will be following :)

good luck mate i think you commented on my story so i will follow yours :)

Thanks guys,

Just going through pre-season and will have a pre-season update probably by tomorrow night.

Should have some players gone and some players in by then :)

Hull City- Pre Season Review.

Transfer Market:
It was a busy transfer market for Connor Clarke, but sadly not in the terms of buying or selling players. Clarke said he was "frustrated" at players rejecting contracts and bids being rejected. Carlton Cole, Carlos Vela, Benjani and David N'Gog all rejecting offers to come to the KC. Bids for Delfouneso, Jones and Obasi were all rejected. Connor Clarke rejected offers from Sunderland for Geovanni- "Geo" became unhappy he wasn't allowed to talk to Steve Bruce. He also rejected an offer from Wolves for hungarian winger Peter Halmosi. Clarke did get one striker though, former Leeds player Mark Viduka came to Hull on a free transfer. Viduka said he was "delighted" to join Hull.

Pre-Season Friendly's
Hull played just 3 pre season friendlys but in the process turned in 20 goals, conceding just 2. Connor Clarke said this about his teams pre-season "Its been a good start- I'm pleased with the lads, hopefully we can keep up the hard work into the new season"

V North Ferriby- Away- Win- 10 -0 (Altidore- 3-8-30, Sonko- 20, Geovanni- pen38, Vennegoor Of Hesselink- 47-78-85, Marney-49 and Cousin-67)
Hull stormed to an easy win, as expected in their first friendly of the season.

V Winterton- Away- Win- 7-0 (Gardner-3, Geovanni-5-19, Fagan-50, Altidore-56, Marney-70 and Cousin 91)
Another easy win for Hull in a match they dominated once again.

V Motherwell- Home- Win- 3-2 (Olofinjana-29, Halmosi-57 and Altidore-78)
Hull took a 2-0 lead but Motherwell pegged back to 2-2, Altidore gave Hull another win with a close range header.

3 Wins out a possible 3 for Clarke's men- A great start to Connor Clarke's career but the question is... Can they keep it up?

Injury Report
Connor Clarke's first month in charge of Hull has seen quite alot of action in the physio's room. Stephen Hunt and Bernard Mendy have returned to full fitness after having a few niggles during pre-season. Jimmy Bullard is out for another 2 months with torn knee ligaments, the worse news comes as captain Ian Ashbee is out for 14 months with damaged cruciate ligaments, Richard Garcia is out for 3 weeks with strained jnee ligaments, Paul McShane is also out for 3 months with torn knee ligaments. While lifting weights, Geovanni suffered a back strain- He is out for 4 weeks. And Craig Fagan is out for 4 weeks with a damaged foot suffered in training while jumping for a header.
Lets hope this Mini Crisis does end soon!

The Start Of The Season Preview!
Hull with a tricky start to the season- They start away to the rich Manchester City, where Phil Brown did his infamous half time team talk- Where Hull's went down the drain from there. Then they face Liverpool at home and Sunderland away. They play Southend at home in the 2nd round of the Carling Cup and end the month hosting West Ham.
Connor Clarke will be hoping for around 3-6 points from that month and he will also expect to advance to the 3rd round of the Carling Cup.

We Are Staying Up!
