I Cant sell my Player !!! Help !

Hi guys,

I play with Roma, and the currencies i use is DKK (danish kroner)
When i started i knew i had to get rid of Marco Boriello because of his wage was 1 Million DKK a week, which just to compare is a third of Messi's pay witch is 3 Million DKK a week.
I use Boriello as a back up and for a back up its just a too high a wage to pay. So i tried to sell him in the beginning of the game of his value or a little less. I FAILED. I thought i might sell him at the January transfer. He is at the moment 31 years of age and still really good stats.

Day by day i lower my asking price by a million until it comes to a point where i ask for 0 DKK.

NOBODY WANTS HIM !!!

He still has 1.5 years left of his contract and it will cost 75 Million to compensate him for his contract. Which is WAAY to high. I tried to put him in reserves, i tried to play some games with him where he actually scored and played well.
At the end i got frustrated and just criticized him and his training hoping him to get mad and want to terminate the contract. AGAIN I FAILED.

So what do i do people? his salary is JUST TO HIGH for my poor Roma
Please help!

try offering him out for loan with half his wages paid first.. or with a future fee.

yeah same issue... same issue every year tbh... AI demand tons from players... but either wont sign your players or will want them at 90% less of cost.... SI sending a broken game as usual..... but hey 3d engine is apparantly more important than actually fixing stuff!

Do you have a Director of Football on your team that you are using to try to sell him? If not, give that a try. It seems to work really well for me, though even with one, sometimes I cannot get rid of players.

He's old and on huge wages, that's why clubs don't want him.
Best thing to do is play him as much as you can so his form improves and hopefully someone comes in for him at some point.

Yeah i tried with the Director, did not work and also i did play with him for half a season in maybe 5 games but still No response. Now i am at 15 of january 2 weeks left of the transfer. And i desperately need to get rid of him. I have 1 game and that game is important so i can't let him play Any other offers?

The selling is always rubbish on fm, I really puzzle at the people who say city or psg brought my player for 50mill, I dnt think I've ever had a oppo team bid more than 5 mill than my players value where as I have to bid 70mill for a 30mill rated a player, case in point bayern wanted 125million for goetze but when they bid for smalling who's vale was 17mill and in great form they bid 18mill! And when I asked for Just 30 to see if they budge they rejected.

Lol, it depends on player salary, club necessity, player potential and the like. I got Vitinho on a free transfer, next season, PSG bought him for 70 Milliion $. Goetze is a very important player for Bayern, is a brilliant player ingame, and provides HG status. No wonder they won't let him go for cheap. Plus, it's not like Bayern need the money.

On the other hand, someone like Nicusor Stanciu, even though he is an excellent player, can be bought cheaply for around 10.5 Million. Because his club needs the money, and isn't of an extremely high stature with sound financial status to simply reject the bid.

As for OP, the player is old, on very high wages, and not getting enough games. You'll never sell him that way, best thing to do is wait out the contract. Or, as TJD07 said, just give him more games; if he's on a high enough form, maybe some club will try to get him. But the latter is unlikely.
