I can't win second legs

I am currently managing Manchester city in 2021 and I can't win second legs to save my life. Against easy teams in the last 16 and quarter finals of champions league, or easy teams in the Capitol one cup semis, I easily get through. But when I play a harder team, it seems impossible to win the second leg. I easily win first legs 1,2,3 and one time 4 nil against these teams, but I never end up getting through the tie. I am consistently going into second legs pretty confident I will win after my triumph in the first, but I never seem to.

i have a good regen striker and rw and also have good back ups in varane Flanagan hughes and Bernard.

can anybody help me win second legs?

Its very simplistic to say you can't win 2nd legs. I assume you mean away legs? That'll depend on exactly how you are lining up - positions, roles, duties, mentality, TIs and PIs. Also, don't forget to mention what the AI is doing. Are they quite defensive in the first leg and then, behind and at home they're much more adventurous? If that's happening, counsider a more defensive formation and possibly even a counter mentality to take advantage of an aggressive opposition.
