I Keep Getting Sacked, How Can I Prevent It?

OK I'm playing as Inter Milan, and at the start of the season I told the chairman that I'd be able to get them into the Champions League. Now unfortunately, it's near the end of the season (30th game or so) and I keep getting the sack, because I'm in 8th place. I'm on an unbeaten streak of 8 or so games, so there really isn't much else I can do, but I just keep getting sacked. I've reloaded the game time after time, but every time I get to the 3rd March I get sacked. It just seems written in the script, and it's a real shame because I'd have to start all over again which is something I don't want to have to do seeing as I've made a **** of a lot of changes to the club and have spent hours tweaking different things.

Do you guys have any idea how I can prevent myself from getting sacked? As I've said, I've already reloaded the game several times but every time it gets to 3rd March, I get sacked no matter if I won, lost or drew my last several games. Even if there's some way I can 'cheat' or something like that (perhaps using the FM editor? I don't know) I really wouldn't mind, as I just need to find a way to carry on this save without having to start all over again which I really don't want to do.

Anyway here's a screenshot of the reason they gave for sacking me, although perhaps it's bugged due to it being the BETA as the reason isn't stated properly.

As you say it's probably scripted, and has to do with your league position rather than your last few results. I don't see any way of avoiding being sacked other than loading the game from an earlier date.

As for using the editor, it won't be out until the full release of the game, and even then it wouldn't help you. You'd need the ingame editor, which is probably also a couple weeks away at least.

A friend suggested to me that it may be because I didn't drop a certain player, having been told to by the chairman, although I don't recall being told to drop anybody.

Could it really be as simple as just dropping a certain player? If that's the case, how do I know which player(s) they want me to drop? I don't recall hearing anything mentioned about that, so I'm not sure.
 
Yeah I can see from the screenshot that the reason stated is failure to drop a player, but the coding is bugged so the name doesn't show. However it also states that the team has been performing below expectations, pointing out the league position and drawing 4 of the last 5 games.

Try backtracking your messages to see if there's any mention of dropping a specific player. If not, try the confidence section to see if there are any hints there.
 
If it keeps happening add a new manager and take over as Inter Milan again and just pick up where you left off. Should save you having to restart all the time. Don't forget to retire your other manager though.
 
I found out which player it was, and dropped him (I even tried releasing him on a free transfer) although I still got the sack. So the only thing left for me to do was to add a new manager, and retire my old one. Thanks for that idea Micky.
 
I think you just needed to do better. Simple as.
