I've played half a season with Vålerenga IF and, as allways, halfway through the season my team and tactic turns to utter rubbish and I get my *** handed to me time and time again. After 20 games the situation is this; top of the league W: 16 D: 3 L:1, semifinal in the cup and very close to the groups stage in the UEFA Cup (I know thats not the name anymore, but it should be!)

Anyway, I started losing against a team that had 17 straight loses. They beat me 4-1, 3-1, and 2-0. Then I let my assistant manager take over and with him in charge the team wins 4-1, 3-0 and 3-0. I checked and he was using the same tactic as me (4-2-2-2) and made more or less the same substitions I make. My only guess is that he did something genious when it comes to the style of play (width, passes, shooting, etc.).

I'm wondering if it's possible to see his style of play and not just the formation?

It could also be his team talks and shouts, maybe he was just better with this

The team talks matter that much? I mean, this is like United losing to... Barnet.

Everything counts....I dont think managers will say "Relax, the result will come" if the team is trailing by 5 goals.

good team talks generally make ur team wanna work their socks off for u

Well, I should point out that I let the assistant manager take care of the team talkes. I have been since the beginning of the season.

Nothing big, no. It's not like I put Messi up front and then tell them to focus on crosses. But is there any way to see more of his choices than just the formation?
