I need help controlling my striker!

Hi All,

I play with a lone forward Benteke! I need him to stay in the box, no coming deep, no drifting wide. Just wait for the cross or the through ball and finish it.

Anyone know how I can do this?

You're looking for roles that don't drop deep (attack duties) and that won't pull wide (moves into channels). The ones I can quickly think of is the Poacher and the Target Man.

Tried these he still seems to want to be everywhere but where i want him lol

yeh i know thats why im playing wingers and telling Benteke to shoot more often

Does Benteke have any PPMs? That'll influence it too.

In your tactic, you want to run a rigid formation then (structured), stick to positions, be more disciplined.
And go into his individual player instruction for Target Man role, Support duty: hold position, dribble less, shoot more.

Benteke's PPM is run through center, which you can choose to have him unlearn if the above fixes still didn't help. Sometimes PPMs can override instructions.
