hi, i've been playing an online game with my friends recently. I'm managing Man Utd. and somehow have found myself in 18th place after 5 games.

These are my last few fixtures

Man Utd. 1- Arsenal 2
Man Utd. 3 West Brom 0
Man United. 1 Chelsea 2
Man United.1 Everton 1
Man United 1 Man City 2
Man United 1 West Ham 1

I currently play a 4-4-2 system with
-Standard mentality
-Very Rigid
- Man Marking
-Disciplined Tackling
-Little Creative freedom

i also have counter attack on and have focused passing down the middle

This is my team

Van Der Sar

Rafael Ferdinand Vidic Evra

Elia Scholes Diego Nani

Rooney Aguero

The rest of my squad is:

Giggs
Carrick
Fletcher
Hernandez
Owen
Fabio
Mikel
and the current Man Utd. squad except for Bebratov, Valencia, O'Shea and Park

Additional Info:

I keep conceding in the last few minutes
I keep conceding own goals
My strikers aren't scoring at all

Please suggest some tactics for my squad or something i can do to start winning games.

Maybe I'm making some basic mistakes so please tell me some common mistakes or anything that will improve my teams form.

Rotate?

Conceading in the last few minutes regularly can mainly be down to fatigue.

Without knowing what roles you have given the players, I would say that you play far too cautious and static in terms of

1.) Attack options - only playing down the middle,
2.) Not closing down high enough in the pitch, putting players under pressure which could explain you conceeding in the last minutes, gicing the opposition too much time on the ball

This is without knowing if you have tweaked any of the teamsettings ( apart form the counterbox) or what roles you use. In short, I would probably play more attacking at home, using a raised d-line and put pressure on the opponents along with using the flanks. Perhaps use Control - Fluid, using the shouts to push up higher and play wider. When on the road, you could use Standard-Fluid with the retain possession shouts along with pushing up the d-line to break up attacks earlier and then keep the possession, dragging the opponents out of position

I am also having trouble making a 4-4-2/ 4-2-4 for man utd. If anyone could suggest some roles and duties it would be greatly appreciated.
