I need help with a created player being in the reserves!

Whenever i create a player in the editor and when i launch the game he is in the reserves. Now i am not the manager of the team because i want to simulate it and see where he ends up. Is there anyway i can change it so he is in the first team in the editor? Any help would be much appreciated!

would depend on how good he is and his age, if he just has great potential and is only 16 he isnt going to be in the senior squad and you cant change that
