if i change player CA but leave all other attributes the same?

i am adding stars of today as youngsters on emile mpenza's back to 2001 database but wondered if it would be more realistic to put all stats as 0 or only change CA and reputation stats, if i change messi CA but leave all other attributes the same would the player still be as good as before in 2012 db or would he be a hot prospect and in the future become a more realistic messi as he is in 2012 game?

I'm pretty sure if you change CA but leave the attributes alone the game balances them out or something? AFAIK it puts the stats down to what the CA will allow, or something...

Yeh it balances out, If you want certain stats to be high edit them yourselves though

ok thanks, i have edited all current player PA to be as they are in 2012 db but some player have better CA than PA and in genie scout the PA is showing at 200 would this sort itself out or have i gotta sort through my players and lower them again?
