I have a 17 year old Regen which I bought 2-3 weeks ago and I cannot register him for the knockout stages of the Europa League. Is the age the problem or is it something else? He has INE next to his name.

hes dutch. thats all. I dont know about the work permit but hes the only one who is ineligible and i dont see why.

What team are you?

You don't need to register U21's for European competitions anyway. He may of played European football for his previous club this season which could also rule him out.

Arsenal. Finished 3rd in the Group stage of the CL and went to Europa League. As long as it's this season only then it's alright.

i have same problem too. i bought javier pastore from palermo in august transfer window, then suddenly he was ineligible for playing european champion cup. Now in february registration, he's still ineligible. why?

Could be competition tied if he played for his previous club in the same European competition, even if it was only in the qualifying rounds i think......

Have a look at his profile when you come to select him, it will tell you why he can't be registered near where it explains about his match fitness.

I have this same problem with a 16 year old regen that I can't play in the CL. It gives no reason for why he's ineligible on his profile.
Have plenty of other regens (~6) that I can play in the matches, but not this one guy. I think he's the only one who's 16, could it be something to do with him still being on a youth contract?
