I did a little search but couldnt see a thread for this, if ive missed it im sorry and could you please post the link to it =]

I have a few questions regarding the "inside forward" role, firstly I realise that an effective inside forward is wrong footed e.g. AML is a right footed player, my first question is this, is it a MUST have? I ask purely because I have Antoine Griezmann who is left footed.

Secondly the logical wide play role would be to have the player cut inside, so am I right in thinking that his crossing should be limited or can I have the player still crossing in effectively?

Just to add i'm trying to create my own 4-3-3 tactic (having no experience with using this formation and inspired by Raikans perfect 4-3-3).

Thanks

Q1. I have found that an inside forward is MOST effective playing 'wrong footed' (as you put it lol) but I have been trying to use 'correct footed' players in that position. It takes a little getting used to but after playing around for a while they can be very good there and provide crosses, assists and goals.

Q2. If they are 'wrong footed'...crossing should be limited because they cant really get to the by-line and cross with their weaker foot, but they could cross when they have cut inside but it would probably have to be from deep. 'Correct footed' players dont really have to cut inside as they are able to cross...but it depends if you want them to or whether you want them to support your striker more.

Hope this helps a little

I've managed to sign Diego Castro on a free next summer so i'll probably be playing him until Griezmann develops a bit more, thanks for your help and sorry about the wrong footed bit hahaha didnt know how else to describe it =P
