Installed patch - need help fast!!!!!

I downloaded the latest patch and installed it manually. Forgot that Steam does it automatically, now its asking me for the disc everytime. How can i uninstall the patch?

It's a complicated process to remove the update folders.

It's easier to backup up your save files and any custom graphics and then reinstall the game, allow steam to update, then replace the files you backed up.

i'm prob being stupid but how do i uninstall the game from steam?

right click on football manager 2001 under Library > games. Click 'Delete Local Content...'

ok done that - put the fm disc in to install, chosen to install via steam - now steam keeps crashing
