I apologize if this has been covered or we have a thread for tactical questions such as this, But does the Instructions Alter your team massively or does it really mold them on how you want to play or would it be better off using them during the match? Basically what im really asking is do they properly work & would you advise using them or are they like sliders, best to not touch until you fully understand what each one is going to do to your tactic... Appreciate any help i didn't play the beta just jumped right into the game today

I see it like this - only add them if needed. I often see people adding 10 instructions right off the bat and it comes out playing very differently to what they actually want. Use the friendlies. If the D-line looks too high, drop a little deeper. If you're playing too direct, select shorter passing. That way you end up using instructions you really need
.
My 2c anyway.

This year I've always given TI's to my team straight off the bat to a mixed set of results. Just got 3rd with liverpool with only signing depay so it wasn't too bad but I think what works the best for me at least is to give the team a basic idea of what you wanna play, for instance retain possetion and close down less if you want more structure to your team and then add others in game while you see the game unfold. Hope I helped a little
