This is my first tactic release, i created it especially for my Maidenhead United story. I am currently in the first season and it is early january, i have not lost a game with the majority of the games being won and a few being drawn. My team currently are first in the blue square south league by quite a margin.
It is suggested that the forwards and strikers have reasonable heading attributes as the wingers cross the ball quite a bit. It is also should be noted that the sweepers be of a decent calibre (relative to the league you are in) as they will have a bit of work to do.
Goalkeeper
as in any game, it is wise to have a half decent keeper at the very least.
Sweepers/Libero
Make sure your defenders in these positions have good stamina, tackling, heading and anticipation attrributes
Fullbacks
They will have to be fit as they will be doing a lot of running as they take the ball up the wings, make sure their tackling, crossing, marking, anticipation and team work stats are up to scratch for the job.
Deep Lying Playmaker
This position will be the DMC position. The player has to be a competant defender who is creative, decent at making decisions, good at first touch and good in technique. They will provide through balls and more often than not start an attack from your half to the oppositions goal.
Wingers
The ML and MR will need to have pace, good at crossing, dribbling and flair. They will be the main men to orchestrate an attack from the flanks as they will supply the ball into the area infront of goal.
Attacking Midfielder
This player will be "bringing up the rear" of the two forwards. They will need to be decent at long shots, be good with creativity, passing and balance, amongst other things.
Deep Lying Forward
This player is on the right side of the attacking duo, they will be in a support role. They will be linking the attack from the midfield. Strenght, passing, long shots, dribbling and first touch are are must.
Advanced Forward
This player will be looking to spearhead attacking moves. They are expected to score and create goals. Crossing, Dribbling, Finishing, Composure, Heading and off the ball are required for a decent Advanced forward.
It is an overload tactic, so your men will need to be fit at any rate. In my game the wingers and deep lying playmaker were the initiators (assists) of about 80% of the goals scored for my team. I use this tactic for both home and away games, obviously i score more goals when home but more often than not win in away games than i do draw.
Does not use the corner cheat
What do you guys think? it's my first tactic release and it has worked wonders for my lower league team.
