Is CA more important than technical attributes?

Hi!

Please help me here and clarify:

Which one of below is better player in game (centre-backs, all attributes except marking and tackling the same, same age, etc etc)

marking - 20, tackling - 20, CA - 160, PA - 200
marking - 18, tackling - 19, CA - 170, PA - 200
marking - 17, tackling - 17, CA - 175, PA - 200
marking - 15, tackling - 15, CA - 180, PA - 200

Basically, is CA more important than attributes?

What? That makes no sense.

You'll have to take other attributes into question when comparing. If you're directly comparing then 20/20 tackling will be better. But more often than not those with 180 CA as compared to 160 CA will have a greater hidden attributes/whatever else otherwise he wouldn't be 20 CA better than the other dude. I kind of get what you're asking but you're not asking it right, lol

Looking at a centre back there are many mental & physical attributes that are just as important as marking and tackling.

CA & PA are almost irrelevant, IMO.. Although I don't use scouting tools that much so I've never really looked too deeply into individual players CA's.

The top one is best. He already has 20/20, has a lower current ability which means he can improve on loads of other things.

The bottom would be the worst, lower attributes but also indicating he is playing closer to the best that he will get.

Basically the top guy is already better, and has a lot more space in his potential to get better
