Im in my first season with liverpool, I always start out with a good team to get to grips with the gameplay again. But this year things seem different, whereas in 08 I was nearing the top of the table and winning most games, doing basically the same things on 09 im struggling and my job status is now insecure and squad harmony is null and im only 7th at christmas.

Now I could of just lost my touch, but are there new factors to think about in this years game or have I just become incredible bad?

Ta.

If you are bad then I am worse!! lol

I'm beginning to think I need to leave FM alone and go and play Fifa 09 that I got for xmas!! I just can't do anything in this game, played about 7 seasons now and never once come close to winning the league even with some great players (Balotelli, Santon etc) I have tried about 4/5 'winnng' tactics for my Liverpool team and nothing produces consistent results, I was beginning to wonder if its a Mac glitch!! lol

On the flip side my bro just plays 433 attacking and wins the league most years!! I have tried this and failed miserably, I don;t know how most people on these forums seem to be winning everything (maybe they just go Arsenal or Man U:)

I'm the same I just can't seem to win anything. I went Rangers on my first season and I played how I played my formation on the last games but I lost 4-1 to Falkirk on my very first game whereas on previous games i would have beat them 3-0 or 4-0.

Not to gloat or anything i'm Birmingham and i'm doing very well in Premiership ! 8th in the league and now going for UEFA Cup :) (that might be a push to far) ;)

well, one thing that I see in FootMgr 09 is that now you really must plan your training sessions and give individual orders to your players or you won't win. So, no Fifa Soccer or PES logic on this. It is a manager's game and you MUST train, develop tactics, give orders and field not only your best player individually but your best squad as far as team work and training.
I started suffering as well, but now I am on a 28 games killing spree and to the top of the league with Villareal. I even beat up M Utd in the champion's league semifinal 1x0 home and 0x0 at Old Trafford...
