Because it's always one of those 2 guys who gets it, 90% of the time is Messi and the other 10% is ROnaldo.. No matter how amazing any other player is doing, no one ever seems to beat them.. For example my dear Olivier Giroud who scored something like 26 goals in 20 games and had an average rating of 7.84 didn't even get a vote and Messi with his 13 goals in 26 games, with a rating of 7.88 got five hundred and something votes.. it seems like it's programmed where it's always the same players who run for the award.

No it is not, Blatter is a shareholder in SI and don't allow them to have more winners.

HAHA, but if that's true Messi would win 100% of the time

It needs the 10% to be "democratic".

I have played 8 seasons with Bayern, won 6 times the Champions league and never had one on the top 3.

I think it's because i rotate the squad to have always players above 97% fit, but the game does not need it, so Messi and CR7 can play all and won the trophy.

It can also be by CA, and if so, you can only beat them with a full trained regen with PA=CA of 200....

I have once won the World Player of the Year with Hazard and placed second in the Ballon D'or behind.. you guessed it.. Messi

The game is not fair in term of player condition and fitness. Your players need to be always above 96 % to play a decent game, but with the amount of games played during one season, its almost impossible to have a field player to do all games, so it is very hard to a striker to do all 38 league game, plus euro games. But Messi can...

One time i managed to get Suarez behind CR7 and Messi, Messi won it

It has happened plenty of time on the numerous number of saves I have done with players like Mata, Hazard and Ozil all winning it instead. I havent been able to stop them winning it with a player I am managing however.

I won it in first year with Mata at United, also won it in years following with Rooney, Mata, (then ronaldo won it), Rooney again & Januzaj

messi is still winning the thing on 1 of my saves and hes 36

Naw, in my 4th season with United (before ****** AV scan ruined everything to Algeria - I'm still furious about it), Januzaj beat both Messi and CR7 to the award, as well as bagging a couple more. Ofc, by then, he was even more valuable than Messi, albeit only by around 7 million or so.

I had Suarez win it twice in a row with Liverpool before I sold him for 60 million as he had turned 29. After that Messi won 4 in a row.

In FM13 Messi won 7 times in a row & 11 times in total before he retired then i started to enjoy the game. In FM14 Messi again winning the award like crazy times. Its really annoying to be honest

I know... how good can Messi ******* be at the age of 36!

those mental stats are ridiculous

thay are a bit good

It could be better, don't you think? little more training and maybe, and it's a big maybe, we could turn out to be a decent player ....

Now, seriously, i think those mental stats are.... mental, and this explains why he wons. he is the Darth Vader of FM with those stats, so we can play until 97 and still win the gold tennis ball (as Ronaldo says :D)
