Is it possible to transfer my save from the ipad 2 to my itouch

I'm wondering if it would be possible to transfer my save file from my missus' ipad2 to my itouch. My itouch has been gathering dust with a cracked screen since i got bored of champ man, but at christmas missus got her ipad2 and i downloaded fm12 onto it. Missus started having a sulk at me taking over her ipad so i repaired the screen and resurrected my itouch 2g. Now i've synced it the fm12 game is on there but not my save.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated as don't really want to start again - put some serious hours into building my invincibles.
