Hi,

Earlier in the year my computer was restored to factory settings and since then, after a few hours of playing, the 3D match became jerky.

It's odd because it was fine before that and I took the advice of helpful people on here but the problem was never fully solved. Can I assume that my Radeon x1300/x1550 graphics card is obsolete and will struggle to run the new game? The 'Chip Type' is ATI Radeon Graphics Processor (0x7146) if that makes any difference.

Thanks

can you click start, then run, enter dxdiag, click on the display tab and take a screenshot of that please

u got latest graphics driver installed?

Hello Jak - you were one of the helpful people I mentioned in the first post who tried to help me first time round! I think I installed the latest drivers when you suggested it last time, but how would I know if I had the latest drivers? Can you tell that I know nothing about computers? I was quite proud that I worked out how to put a screenshot up here.

Hi Bobby I was just reading back over the thread you created last time. You could download the latest drivers again from here Here you can download graphics drivers, downloading the latest ones may solve your problem. Near the top right of the you should see 4 tabs. Set the top one to Graphics, the second one to whatever operating system you have (xp, vista,7 etc), the third one to Radeon and the final one to X1xxx series. click 'view results' and scroll to the bottom of the page and choose option 1 'full software suite' . click the download button and it should all take care of itself.

To save starting a new thread can you tell me if my graphics card is crappy please

Going to this website should give you some idea if you can. Search for FM 11. I would say it should be able to play FM but go the website anyway.

Thanks again. I already had the latest drivers but I hope, with the arrival of FM11, that my jerky 3D games are behind me and it's smooth fun from now on.

Cheers guys!

Post back in this thread if the problem persists in the new game

Different FM, same problem. The 3D game is absolutely fine and running smoothly but, once it's been on for a few hours, it becomes jerky to the point where it's impossible to watch comfortably.

As always, the game continues to run perfectly in every other respect.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
